Frequently Asked
Questions

Here’s an overview of the most common questions and answers related to immigration and visa procedures.

  • How long does the document processing take?

We help you book an appointment at the relevant foreign police department based on your place of residence. The application must then be submitted in person at the office. Authorities usually release new appointments every two weeks, so we recommend booking early.

  • How long does it take to get a residence permit?

The foreign police department has a statutory deadline of 90 days to process the application. However, this period may be extended if the application is incomplete, incorrect, or contains unclear information. In such cases, the authorities will ask the applicant to correct or supplement the necessary documents.

  • How is the application process carried out?

  • How to apply for a visa from abroad?

Please note that sending documents via diplomatic mail or courier service may extend the process by several weeks.

  • How can I apply for a tourist visa?

You can apply for a tourist visa at a Slovak diplomatic mission in any country where you are legally staying. It’s important to note that a tourist visa does not entitle you to apply for other types of visas or residence permits in Slovakia.

  • What if my residence permit is denied?

Our contracts are designed to protect both us and our clients. Payments for our services are made in two phases – the first installment is paid at the beginning of cooperation, and the second only after the application is submitted.

Our support does not end there. If the foreign police reject your application, we will use all legal means – filing appeals, additional explanations, and other remedies.

  • What should I know before starting the process?

Before submitting a residence application, it's important to understand that this is a serious legal process. Every foreigner granted residence in Slovakia is required to comply with the Foreigners' Residence Act. This mainly includes staying in Slovakia and engaging in activities that match the purpose for which the residence was granted.

  • What are the chances of success when applying?

It’s not possible to give an exact statistic, as each application is assessed individually by the foreign police. The key factor is the completeness and accuracy of all data and documents, which are thoroughly checked by the authorities.

However, based on our internal experience, the success rate of our clients reaches approximately 98%.
